Horseradish and sweet mustard from Alsace rooted in history and heritage of Alsace, you know? Some information on the cultural significance of these amenities and culinary price discerned.





Raifalsa means Horseradish of Alsace and there is only one company making horseradish in Alsace since 1956 and is also unique in its activity in France.

Alélor means Alsace and Lorraine as the range of mustard could not be sold since 1873 under the name Mustard except in Alsace and Moselle. Since 2000, this has changed and the range may benefit from the designation and not mustard condiment.



Horseradish is a cousin of wasabi. Indeed, wasabi horseradish is an Asian who has just the peculiarity of having a green chair. Wasabi horseradish and have the same power the same taste and aroma. The Japanese say that horseradish Alsacien is stronger in taste than their wasabi !



At year-end 2006, Raifalsa won the Marianne flavors of France and Europe at the hands of Michelin-starred chefs of the association of the same name for the taste of his horseradish.
